Hi, I'm
Sharon
Joint founder and Partner of BlockeSmith Consultancy
You may have heard about me from a friend or maybe you found me because you googled "Anxiety Coaching" or "Life Coaching". Either way, I’m glad you are here.
I Co-founded BlockeSmith Consultancy whilst working as a Health Coach for the NHS, where I met Andy, my business partner. I also ran The HappyLife Coach on-line business, which I started some years ago when I realised my passion for coaching people on how to move forward in their lives outweighed the limitations of my role as a Health Coach, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with patients and their health-related issues, particularly anxiety, where I was able to draw on my own experience and learning, was so rewarding but I knew health was part of a much bigger picture, all linking together, and I knew I could help with so much more. Working with Andy highlighted an opportunity for us to take both sets of skills, knowledge and experience to grow The HappyLife Coaching business to a new level, incorporating a fitness element along with a corporate element of leadership coaching, and so here we are. Please scroll down to read more about me and all about Andy.
Whilst health coaching I studied and became qualified in life coaching. I love the sense of happiness my clients feel when they achieve their goals, whether it is something small but significant or life changing for them. Being able to teach them skills to use throughout life and seeing these skills make a positive difference is very gratifying.
I also have a background in sports coaching, primarily gymnastics and trampolining where I was Head Coach, and this is where my passion to help people realise their dreams and overcome their anxieties through effective coaching really began.

My proudest moment has to be when I wrote, produced, and directed a play that the gymnasts performed in front of an audience. The majority of them had never done anything like it before. It was a huge success because I was able to take them out of their comfort zone, help them believe that they can achieve anything they want to with the right support and belief.
Other proud moments in my life include being that Health Coach that patients wanted to see again and again, scaling 4 mountains, competing in Triathlons, cycling many sportifs including Ride 100 London and lastly, being able to hold a handstand longer than the gymnasts in the competition squad!......... Oh, and I can recite the alphabet backwards quicker than I can say it forwards!!
Outside of coaching, I hold many titles including, Mum, Fur-baby Mum to my beautiful chihuahua, Wife, Daughter, Granddaughter, Nana, Sister, Auntie, Niece and Friend. When I’m not working you can find me either in the gym or somewhere outside, running, walking, cycling, hiking or playing my new found hobby of cricket, and inside I would be reading, crafting, or relaxing in front of a favourite programme or film with a Costa hot chocolate with sugar-free caramel, my guilty pleasure!!
Hi, I'm Andy
Joint founder and Partner of
BlockeSmith Consultancy
I love to give something back from what I have managed to benefit from and achieve throughout my life. That could be working with you to understand what is holding you back from being a healthier version of yourself, competing for an event, or developing a team to be more effective and efficient.

I am the co-founder of BlockeSmith Consultancy, a business opportunity that came to life whilst working in the NHS with Sharon, my business partner. I haven't run my own business before but have been heavily involved working in my local gym as a class instructor, coaching triathletes and helping with the Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
I started my career in the military where I became a medic in the Royal Navy before going on to do commando training and then served in a clinical role, looking after royal marines in different locations and situations around the world. I continued to provide panning and operational support to the Royal Marines before transferring to the Army for the last years of my military service.
Since leaving the military I have gained experience in a variety of roles including planning, operations, transformation and project management before joining the NHS in a managerial role. I have an MSc in Leadership and Management and I am an Institute of Leadership Mentor.

I've always had a passion for sport but a love for cycling, having raced road, mountain and track bikes and even taken a number of cycling expeditions. I am an indoor and outdoor Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, group indoor cycling instructor and I coach triathletes. I get a huge amount of personal satisfaction in helping people, whether that is to help someone engage with their health and wellbeing, teaching someone how to navigate or live in the field, or lead a team for the first time. I am a Duke of Edinburgh expedition supervisor and assessor, a cadet force adult volunteer as well as a walking expedition leader. Although I haven't dived for a few years I am also a BSAC Advanced Diver and Advanced Instructor.
In my spare time, I love DIY and have recently finished off an extension to my house, utilising my carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting and bricklaying skills, generally making lots of noise and dust! I also like to make my own beer, which is quite a good hobby as I tend to find I don't drink a great deal of it but have been befriended by a lot of people who wonder what my beer tastes like.
I am a husband, dad and fur-baby dad to two dogs, all of whom keep me busy and on my toes!
